What should I record first?
Different standards and listed claims address different purposes. A claim for one substance does not establish removal of every substance, and a certified component is not automatically proof for the complete assembled installation.
What changes the recommendation?
Ask for the complete model identifier and a current listing or supported performance evidence for the target. Compare rated flow, capacity and maintenance conditions with the actual use. A sales phrase such as pure water is not a substitute for that record.
What should the service scope include?
Keep the listing and instructions with the quote. If the water findings change, recheck whether the existing product still addresses the target. A field TDS display or an aesthetic improvement does not independently verify every health-related reduction claim.
Apply the correct source evidence
Confirm the supplier on the property water bill. Port St. Lucie’s public report applies to its Utility Systems customers; a mailing address does not prove supplier, and a private well needs its own testing. See the Port St. Lucie source guide before applying a report or selecting a treatment goal.
Review the 2025 Water Quality Report for the appropriate source boundary. Source review: October 4, 2026. This guide provides decision questions; equipment selection and any safety-related interpretation require appropriate measurements and qualified advice.
