What should I record first?
The useful endpoint depends on the job: hardness for softening, pressure drop for a restriction, specified output for RO or a targeted laboratory parameter for a well-treatment design. One universal test cannot verify every kind of equipment.
What changes the recommendation?
Record sample locations and conditions so incoming and treated results can be compared sensibly. Startup flushing and stabilization should follow the product instructions. A provider should explain which field readings are adequate and which checks need a laboratory.
What should the service scope include?
Retain the dated results, settings, model numbers and maintenance plan. If the agreed result is not achieved, ask for an investigation of the cause rather than adding another stage automatically. Successful water-system service is more than an equipment photograph.
Apply the correct source evidence
Confirm the supplier on the property water bill. Port St. Lucie’s public report applies to its Utility Systems customers; a mailing address does not prove supplier, and a private well needs its own testing. See the Port St. Lucie source guide before applying a report or selecting a treatment goal.
Review the 2025 Water Quality Report for the appropriate source boundary. Source review: October 4, 2026. This guide provides decision questions; equipment selection and any safety-related interpretation require appropriate measurements and qualified advice.
